Jam from watermelon

For this jam you will need:

  • 1 kg of pulp of watermelon
  • 200 grams of water
  • 4 cups sugar
  • half a teaspoon of citric acid
  • vanilla

Slice the pulp in small pieces and pour with water. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5-7 minutes. Then put the pulp in cold water and place it in the ice. Soak for 6-8 hours.

In the meantime, prepare the sugar syrup. Remove the pulp from the water and pour it with hot sugar syrup. Leave for 12 hours, then drain the syrup, add a glass of sugar, citric acid and vanillin. Put on a fire and bring to a boil. Then dip the flesh into the syrup and cook until the pulp becomes completely clear. Pour the jam over the jars and clog them with covers.

Jam watermelon crusts

In order to prepare this jam you will need:

  • 1 kg watermelon rind
  • 1.5 kilo of sugar
  • 500 milliliters of water
  • lemon peel

First, thoroughly wash the watermelon crusts. Then clean them so that they separate the pulp and the peel. There will be a white crust. Cut it into cubes and, placing in boiling water, boil for 5-10 minutes. After this, pivot the crusts on a strainer and cool.

Meanwhile, make the syrup. To do this, pour sugar and water and bring to a boil. The syrup is necessary to stir constantly. When the sugar is completely dissolved, add to the syrup the lemon zest. Put the peel into the syrup and simmer for 20-30 minutes. Then remove the pan from the heat and leave for 2-3 hours. Cooking and cooling repeat two more times. Then put back on the heat and cook until tender. When Corky becomes completely transparent, then the jam is ready. Pour in the banks and clog lids.

Jam from watermelon with apples

In order to prepare this jam, you will need:

  • 1 kg watermelon rind
  • half kilo of apples
  • 1.5 kilo of sugar
  • 500 milliliters of water
  • citric acid
  • vanilla

Separate the white crust from the pulp and green peel, cut into cubes. Dip watermelon cubes for 5-7 minutes in hot water, then remove and refrigerate.

Prepare the sugar syrup and add a watermelon to it. Cook until the peel becomes clear. Remove from heat and leave for 7-10 hours.

Then add in jam sliced apples. Boil for 20-30 minutes, then remove and leave for 3-4 hours. Repeat the procedure three times. When the last cooking add citric acid and vanillin.

Jam pour on cans and cork with lids.

Jam from watermelon with mint

To prepare this jam, take:

  • 4 cups chopped pulp of watermelon
  • one-third Cup white wine or Apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons lemon peel
  • 1 tablespoon ginger
  • 1.5 cups of sugar
  • half a teaspoon of black pepper
  • half a Cup of finely chopped mint

To begin with, mix in the blender sugar, lemon zest and mint. Then stir in the blender the pulp of watermelon and pepper. Express the watermelon juice. Mix everything and cook until the volume of jam is reduced by half. Add lemon juice, ginger and vinegar or wine. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5-8 minutes. Pour the jam into cans and cork with lids.
