Snacks and salads are the perfect start for a conversation when your table is bursting with delicious food and the liquor is about to flow. For a New Year's table it is better to prepare easy vegetable or fruit salads which contain less calories and are not so heavy for a stomach, as meat. Nevertheless, we also do not exclude meat, where else without it. So, we proceed to our recipes.

Original salads on New year 2015

Beets with oranges and feta cheese

  1. Beet – 2 PCs.
  2. Feta – 150 g
  3. Orange – 2 PCs
  4. Lettuce leaves – 1 bunch
  5. Pumpkin seeds – 100 g
  • Olive oil – 2 tbsp
  • Freshly ground pepper
  • Salt
  • Balsamic vinegar – 1 tbsp
  1. Wash beets and bake in the oven, then peel and cut into thin slices.
  2. Peel oranges and cut into slices. From the peel press juice, you can add it to the sauce.
  3. Lettuce leaves, wash and reserve on a paper towel to dry.
  4. Pumpkin seeds need to fry a few minutes in a hot pan.
  5. Make the sauce: mix olive oil, balsamic vinegar and orange juice, add the spices and stir.
  6. In a large flat plate put the salad leaves, cover the beets and oranges. Sprinkle with cubes of Feta and pumpkin seeds, pour the sauce.

Holiday salad on New Year's Eve

Inventive hostess can cook this warm and delicious salad for the New year. For its preparation you will need:

  • Chicken breast – 400 g
  • Spiral pasta “Fusilli” – 400 g
  • Strawberry (fresh) – 250 g
  • Broccoli (or cauliflower) - 150 g
  • Olive oil – 1 tbsp
  • Sugar – 1 tsp
  1. Boil pasta until al dente (“to the tooth”) and allow it to cool slightly.
  2. Boil chicken breast in lightly salted water and disassemble the fibers.
  3. Cabbage boil or fry in olive oil on request you can add it raw.
  4. Mix chicken, macaroni and cabbage, sprinkle on top the chopped strawberries (do not stir). Pour the dish with the strawberry dressing.
  5. For the filling: 30 grams of strawberry crush in a blender, mix the puree with lemon juice (3 tbsp), sugar and olive oil.

Leaf salads for the New year

An unusual and at the same time very simple recipe. You will need:

  • Chicken breast – 400 g
  • Grapes – 1 brush
  • Olive oil – 3st. L.
  • Balsamic vinegar – 2 tbsp
  • Spinach – 300 g
  1. Boil chicken breast in salted water. Take it apart into strips and add the chopped grapes and mix.

  • At the bottom of the glass, put spinach leaves, top the chicken with grapes, then pour the meat with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Garnish with whole grape berries.
