There are many variations of cranberry sauce: from wine, honey, vinegar, onion, American sauce, black sauce, etc. Depending on the additional ingredients and spices used, the cranberry sauce can give the meat piquancy, sweetness, and spiciness. The recipe, which we offer you to master first, is a universal option. Its main feature is that in itself it is already a full-fledged cranberry sauce, but it can be the basis for other variations of the cranberry sauce.

Necessary ingredients:

  • fresh cranberry – 350 gr.
  • sugar – 3/4 Cup
  • orange zest – 1 tbsp
  • fresh orange juice – 1/2 Cup
  • cinnamon – 1 stick

Step by step instructions

  1. Just note that cooking the cranberry sauce from fresh and frozen berries. In this recipe, we suggest using fresh cranberries, as it gives the sauce a more vivid color compared to frozen berries. Cranberries wash, remove the stems and spoiled berries, discard in a colander — excess fluid our cranberry sauce is not needed.

  • rosemary – 3-4 sprigs

Step by step instructions

  1. Washed, and dried cranberries pour into a deep saucepan.
  2. Add berries to sugar.
  3. Orange wash and clean zest. Orange squeezing the juice (you can use a blender), along with the zest added to the cranberries.
