Quality private education is determined primarily the reputation of the school. Of course, it's worth paying attention to school advertising, it's good if the school has its own website, but remember: advertising is not always true. It is better to take an interest in the feedback of graduates and parents of school pupils. If possible, talk to the students, visit a few lessons. It is important that the school works long enough - then the learning process is more stable. In addition, if there were several issues, you can see how the life of the graduates was, what percentage went to higher education institutions.

There is a perception that private education is for the elite, not only in financial but in intellectual terms. In some private schools your child can offer to pass the test or interview. Basically, basic knowledge and skills are studied, as well as some psychological qualities. Usually tests are present if the school initially sets a high bar. Of course, they are not obligatory at all, and hard selection should alert you, but usually some minimum level of the child's preparation is still required.

Private education must comply with state standards.  The curriculum should coincide with the curriculum of the Ministry. Of course, often private schools offer in-depth study of some subjects, electives and profile training - but not at the expense of, but along with the required subjects. The required minimum must be met.

Private schools must be licensed and accredited.  The license gives the right to educational activity, and accreditation - for conducting state exams and issuing documents on education. Prior to accreditation, the pupils of the school undergo certification - testing in all subjects, which should show that the level of mastering the material by students is at least 50%. Newly established schools may not have accreditation, because it is given after several years of work. Examinations they pass in public schools, with which the private educational institution has a contract.If the school has no accreditation, it has no right to issue a certificate of the state sample.

Option for high school students private education abroad. Many European private schools are recruiting students from other countries. Of course, this is expensive, requires knowledge of the English language, and not every child will be able to live independently in a foreign country away from parents. But if you can afford it, and your child does not mind - why not try it?

Of course, no one forces you to choose private education. He has disadvantages - private education is not cheap, and finding a good private school with an impeccable reputation, providing a good level of knowledge, is not so easy, especially in a small city. But, when choosing a school for a child, private education at least should not be ignored.
