The braid as a way of weaving will never lose its charm, including in hand-made products. Three simple methods of weaving braids, which we will tell you today, will allow you to make original bracelets with your own hands.
Triple bracelet-braid from polymer clay
- polymer clay in three colors (any
the blade-separator for polymer clay or a normal knife.
Let's get to work:
- Work with each color in turn and wipe your hands before proceeding to the next.
Cut the clay of each color and roll in 3 long, thin cylinder of each part (they should be one and a half times longer than the circumference of your wrist).
Fold three cylinders to each other, connecting one end and strongly squeezing it so that all three cylinders are connected.
Begin to braid as a regular braid, – with the difference that here it is impossible to pull “strands”. Do not press on them too heavily otherwise they will lose shape
Cut the tapered recviem plot, which cemented the band in the beginning, and wrap the bracelet in a ring, docked parts so that the transition was not noticeable. To hide it will help the pattern of the braids.
Repeat the same for each color, and then bake after keeping in the oven as much as indicated in the instructions for your chosen polymer clay.
Bracelet-plaited fabric, woven knot “Jersey”
For this simple bracelet, take:
- long strip of thin cotton fabric (at least 1.5 m long and 2.5 cm wide)
- a pair of scissors.
Bracelets "jersey" are braided on the fingers, and depending on how many fingers you use when weaving, the bracelet will be more or less wide. The narrowest one is on two fingers (the little finger and the ring finger), the widest one - on four (all but the big one). The principle remains the same.
- Cut two small holes on both ends of the strips of tissue (approximately 1 cm from the edge).
Put both ends on one another and pull some fabric from the bottom through both holes. You should get a loop. Tighten the knot.
Now start to wrap the fabric around the fingers – one turn on top of the finger (the palm side), the next – to-bottom.
When he reached the end, “turn” strip and start wrapping the fabric in the opposite direction, this time passing it above and below in reverse order.
Then loop the strip on top through all the fingers, not wrapping it at all.
Now pass it through the loops of fabric on each finger. Get the nodes.
Continue to braid until you do not get the bracelet the right length. Usually have 6 “chains”.
In the last loop pass the remains of the strip next to the first knot and tie another knot.
Bracelet-braid from old t-shirts and bright lace
- old plain t-shirt
- 1 m bright colored cord (slip proof)
- two small magnet
- barrette or pin
- glue and scissors.
Let's get to work:
- Cut-out t-shirt three strips of fabric of width 2.5 cm and length 30 cm
Cut three pieces of string 25 cm.
Staple together all the pieces of string and strips of fabric with pins or clips, connecting their upper ends.
You have 6 parts. Mentally “attach” to each strip of the fabric 1 cut the cord and take them for one unit during the netting regular “braids”.
When you duplicate to the end, remove the pin and glue a magnet to the top of the bracelet.
Try it on hand. If he desired length, trim the other end and also glue a magnet (not reverse side).
Cut two pieces of fabric from t-shirts to hide the magnetic clasp.
Wrap the closure with a cloth and secure with glue. Ready.
